Asset Map: Miami-Dade County

Miami-Dade County has a lot resources and a clear commitment to sustainability.

I have constructed an asset map to increase community knowledge and accessibility of organizations that enhance and impact Miami-Dade County’s sustainability. This map uplifts community strengths and highlights existing community assets. Listed on the map linked below are cultural, social, political, economic and environmental assets to Miami-Dade County. Within this map are also targeted community weaknesses/challenges related to sustainability.

Click to view key natural resources, institutions, infrastructures, and citizen associations that positively impact the community. To get a deeper understanding of the assets and value provide, please review the in-depth descriptions and pictures attached to many of the assets.

When reviewing this, think about how each assets impacts various stakeholders and the various issues covered in this website: Water, Air, Natural Resources, Transportation, Waste, the Miami-Dade Community and our interconnect systems.

Please Note: Many assets overlap in terms of relevancy to each essay. Assets are included in the section that made the most direct sense. This means that assets may be unevenly distributed. Based on my writing, challenge yourself to understand how items overlap.

Thank you for joining me in examining the overall sustainability of Miami-Dade County.

After looking at the asset map, notice where most of the electric vehicle charging stations are, most of the bike racks, and resources are – near the Miami Beach… What are some implications of this?

Notice wear community gardens are and community support systems are…
